Our company started because of our little puppy, Bronson. Bronson was a rescue puppy,as his very pregnant mother was found abandoned in a garbage dump. Luckily she was brought in by a VERY loving family. Soon after, she gave birth to 5 little munchkins, one of whom we adopted at the age of 3 months. He was born on April Fools Day 2004 (we should have known then...)

Bronson has had a very sensitive tummy since the day he was born & he hasn't been able to eat most of the commercial dog food/treats on the market today. Our vet got him started on a "special order" dog food and also suggested that I make his treats at home instead of buying them. She told us that commercial treats are packed with additives, preservatives and bi-products, & could be sitting on store shelves for months...years even! We hated the thought of not knowing what we were really putting into him...were they even safe? Soooo, I started baking his treats from scratch.

After endless months of research, flour all over my body, bags under my eyes, and dogs knocking at the front door...our homebased business began. In 2005, I started listing our products on Ebay, where they became a instant HIT! Parents were so thrilled with our cookies that they urged me to open a web-store. That is when I went and got fully licensed and opened up sugarandspicedogtreats.com in January 2006. In February, 2007 we changed our business name to Tempted Tummies Pet Pantry.

There are so many treats on the market today, but do you really know what goes into them? Shouldn't your dog be eating all natural and fresh treats, VS stale treats packed with unhealthy preservatives? Wouldn't you rather know EVERY SINGLE ingredient that is going into your dogs mouth?  I know I sure do. I wouldn't eat something if I didn't know what was in it....so why should your pet?
